Congratulations go out to the 10 finalists in the Garage to Glory II: Singer-Songwriter Edition competition. Co-sponsored by the College of Saint Rose and The Times Union, the talent competition started out with 52 entrants. Only 31 of them actually showed up for the audition and video-taping sessions, and those were whittled down to 20 semi-finalists, whose videos were posted online at the Garage to Glory blog site. The public voted online last week, and the Top 10 vote-getters were:
Each of the 10 singer-songwriter-finalists will have 10 minutes to perform live in concert at 8pm on Friday at the College of Saint Rose’s Performance Studio in Albany.
Friday night’s concert is free and open to the public, but space is limited and registration for FREE TIX is required.
At the finals, the winners will be determined by a panel of judges that includes Laura Glazer (of WEXT-FM’s “Hello Pretty City” radio show), Mike Guzzo (of CRUMBS.net) and Greg Haymes (of Nippertown.com).
