MUSIC: Koji @ Valentine’s Music Hall, Albany. The punk-pop artist from PA with a rapidly growing reputation – his last release made The Associated Press’ list of Best Overlooked Albums of 2010, and he was listed as an artist to watch for 2011 in a recent issue of Alternative Press – plays a benefit show for Resolve, an advocacy organization devoted to resolving the crisis in Uganda. MUSIC: Gobble Gobble @ Ground Zero at RPI, Troy. The hyperactive, futuristic techno-pop project of pop experimentalist Cecil Frena. With Dan’s Dance Pavillion. 8pm. FREE.

FILM: “The Bridge On the River Kwai” @ the Palace Theatre, Albany. The epic war film that earned seven Academy Awards – including Best Picture – in 1957. Ya gotta see it on the big screen… 7pm. $5; 14 and under $3.

MUSIC: Erin Harkes @ McGeary’s, Albany. The powerhouse vocalist teams up with guitarist Blaze for their second-Monday-of-the-month residency gig. 7:30pm. FREE.

FILM: “Robin Hood” @ Proctors, Schenectady. The classic 1922 silent film starring swashbuckling actor Douglas Fairbanks will be accompanied by “Goldie,” Proctors’ Wurlitzer organ, as played by Avery Tunningley. 7:30pm. $10 in advance; $12 at the door; $2 discount for seniors and students.
