FILM/TALK: “Daisy Miller” @ The Linda, Albany. The Henry James Film Festival kicks off with a screening of the 1974 film starring Cybill Shepherd. Followed by a discussion with director Peter Bogdonovich. 7:30pm. FREE.

MUSIC: Lucky Peterson @ the Bearsville Theater, Woodstock. The multi-instrumentalist and former child prodigy is churning out big, bad blues once again with his stellar comeback album, “You Can Always Turn Around.” With Doug Yule & Friends. 9pm. $15.

MUSIC: Ernie & the Automatics @ Jillian’s, Albany. An all-star band of veteran Boston-based rockers including guitarist Barry Goudreau and drummer Sib Hashian (both from the band Boston), as well as saxman Michael Antunes (of the Beaver Brown Band). 9pm. $1.06.

The New York State Writers Institute screens the award-winning 2009 documentary directed by Michèle Hozer and Peter Raymont about one of the most celebrated pianists of the 20th century. 7:30pm. FREE.

    Also there is a Junior FIRST LEGO League Expo at the West Sand Lake Elementary School from 6:30-8 PM. Elementary and middle school students will show off the cool machines they’ve made using Legos.
