MUSIC: John Doe & Jill Sobule @ Club Helsinki Hudson, Hudson. Best known for his tenure in punk pioneers X, Doe is also an acclaimed singer-songwriter, poet and actor. Sobule, meanwhile, is still best known for her 1995 hit “I Kissed a Girl,” but she’s one of American pop music’s most under-appreciated singer-songwriters. Now, they’re performing together in support of their new album collaboration, “A Day at the Pass.” 8pm. $18.

MUSIC: Bob Gluck’s Something Quiet Trio @ the Recital Hall at UAlbany’s Performing Arts Center, Albany. Keyboardist Gluck, soprano saxophonist Joe Giardullo and bassist Christopher Dean Sullivan celebrate the release of their debut album, “Something Quiet.” 7pm. $8; seniors and students $4.

BURLESQUE: Bing Bamboo Room Burlesque @ Savannah’s, Albany. It’s Bella Vendetta’s birthday party featuring acrobatics, stripping, fire shows, comedy, drag performances, juggling and twirling tassles from the likes of Rocco the Acrobat, Draven Star, Mistress Collette, Porsche Darling and zaftigg, Baby Dead Girl, Maxine De La Obscene, Lilly Allure, Marie ReMoan and a special performance by the birthday girl herself. 8 & 10pm. $10.

FILM: “The Heretics” @ Hudson Valley Community College’s Bulmer Telecommunications Center, Troy. Joan Braderman’s experimental documentary offers an insider’s look at the New York feminist art collective that published “Heresies: A Feminist Publication on Art and Politics.” 6pm. FREE.

DANCE ON FILM: “Coppelia” @ Proctors, Schenectady. The Paris Opera Ballet performs. Music by Leo Delibes. Choreography and staging by Patrice Bart after Arthur Saint-Leon. 1:30 & 7pm. $25.

    Jill never gets the props. “Karen By Night” should have been a huge hit. Thanks for singling her out. I saw her years back for a free show at the Plaza. Fantastic!
