The soundBarn: A Thousand Fibers

For those with big ears and a keen sense of adventure the soundBarn in Valatie is hosting “A Thousand Fibers,” an evening of long-form musical improvisation featuring assorted members of the Albany Sonic Arts Collective and the soundBarn. The event will take place at 8pm on Saturday.

Among the featured performers will be:

Insect Posse – the guitar-wielding duo Mark Lunt and Chris Bassett

Fossils From the Sun – the solo project of Ray Hare (Century Plants, Burnt Hills, Twilight of the Century, etc.)

Holland Hopson – composer, improviser, banjo player, electronic artist and Metroland’s Retro-Futurist of the Year in 2010

soundBarn – the experimental music duo of Thomas Lail and Patrick Weklar
