MUSIC: Woody Pines @ Valentine’s Music Hall, Albany. The new Americana Tuesdays music series kicks off with host band Dan Johnson & His Expert Sidemen and North Carolina’s crack ragtime/swing-country/viper jazz quartet. 8pm. $5.

ART TALK: “PostSecret: Confessions on Life, Death and God” @ UAlbany Performing Arts Center, Albany. Frank Warren shares stories behind the most memorable postcards and secrets he has received as compiler of the PostSecret project, a touring exhibition of mail art confessions currently on view at UAlbany through Friday. 7 & 10pm. $15 (free for UAlbany students) NOTE: Both shows are SOLD OUT.

MUSIC: Tim Olsen & Eric Walentowicz @ the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall, Troy. The piano and sax duo explores jazz classics by Duke Ellington and Django Reinhardt as well as a number of Olsen’s original compositions. 12noon. FREE.
