Five years ago, Trent Reznor was stalking the stage at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center with his band Nine Inch Nails, howling and pummeling their way through a relentlessly brutal sonic assault chockfull of tunes like “Help Me, I’m in Hell” and others whose titles you’d certainly never see printed in a family newspaper.
So… we certainly never would have ever guessed that we’d see Reznor’s name on a list of Academy Award nominees, did we?
But there it is… Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, Oscar nominees in the Best Original Score category for “The Social Network.”
