MUSIC: Blue Machine @ Dinosaur Bar-B-Que, Troy. Tommy Love is an Iron Man. Last night he played the Dino til all hours of the morning as he fronted Blue Hand Luke on New Year’s Eve. Tonight he’s back at the microphone at the helm of Blue Machine. Oobity skibbity bop! 10pm. FREE.

MUSIC: Public Noise Concern @ Valentine’s Music Hall, Albany. The gals kick off 2011 in high fashion with the Killerados, the Black Tie Operation, Plastic Jesus and Seven Second Delay. 8pm.

MUSIC: The Berkshire Bach Ensemble @ the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall, Troy. Under the direction of Kenneth Cooper, the Berkshire Bach Ensemble, featured violinists Eugene Drucker, Ani Kavafian and Joseph Silverstein, as well as flutist Carol Wincenc perform the annual New Year’s Day tribute to the music of Bach. 4pm. $28, $38, $48, $55.

MUSIC: New Riders of the Purple Sage @ the Bearsville Theater, Woodstock. Who knows? A little “Panama Red” just might be the perfect New Year’s Day cure for your New Year’s Eve hangover.
