Just two guitars and a pair of intertwined harmony voices. The Honeycutters came up from Asheville, North Carloina to play Caffe Lena is Saratoga Springs and for those too few in attendance on Sunday night, it was a creative concert of rootsy-folk music to recommend to friends the next time around.
The duo of singer-songwriter Amanda Anne Platt and lead guitarist Peter James wove seamless vocal harmonies and played some fine guitar together. This was roots-Americana at its best… and then some.
Maybe it was the Christmas holiday mayhem or the late season football games that kept people from checking out the Honeycutters at Caffe Lenas on Sunday, but for those who were there, it was an intimate and memorable performance filled with great original music.
