Putnam Den in Saratoga Springs has added several new noteworthy shows for 2011, including Tao & Company (featuring Tao Rodriguez Seeger, George Kilby Jr., Johnny Grub of Railroad Earth, Barry Mitterhoff of Hot Tuna and Neil Thomas of Loup Garou Zydeco) on Saturday, January 15; Todd Hamilton & American Babies on Friday, January 28; Yarn on Saturday, February 5; and Dopapod on Friday, February 11.

Northern Lights in Clifton Park continues to add new shows for 2011, including Conspirator (featuring members of the Disco Biscuits and RAQ) at 9pm on Saturday, February 19 ($15 in advance; $17 at the door); and Black Veil Brides with Destroy Rebuild Until God Shows (aka, D.R.U.G.S.), I See Stars, VersaEmerge and Conditions at 6:30pm on Tuesday, May 3 ($15 in advance; $17 at the door – on sale at 10am on Saturday, January 15).

Come on, take a slow ride… Led by drummer and founding member Roger Earl, ’70s blues-boogie stalwarts Foghat roll into the Colonial Theatre in Pittsfield at 8pm on Saturday, April 2. Priced at $35, $45 and $60, tix go on sale to the general public on Tuesday.

The schedule at Caffe Lena in Saratoga Springs boasts a whole bunch of great shows in January, including Frank Jaklitsch & Friends (Saturday, January 15), Pierre Bensusan (Sunday, January 16), Rory Block (Thursday, January 20), the Wiyos (Friday, January 21), Garnet Rogers (Sunday, January 23), Bill Staines (Friday, January 28), Steve Forbert (Sunday, January 30. Also, take note of “Actionable,” a one-man multimedia play about the pitfalls of the music business written and performed by musical maverick Bob Wiseman (formerly of Blue Rodeo) on Saturday, January 29.

Local heroes (and Nippertown’s breakout national stars of 2010) Phantogram have been added to the line-up for the Exit Dome IV benefit concert for WEXT-FM at the Exitdome (aka, the WMHT-TV studios in North Greenbush) on Saturday, January 29.

New shows on the calendar at the Bearsville Theater in Woodstock include the Malibooz (featuring Walter Egan) with the Doughboys at 8pm on Thursday, January 20 ($20); and the Kane Brothers Blues Band at 9pm on Saturday, February 26 ($15).

Down in Hudson at Club Helsinki Hudson, new additions to the 2011 concert calendar include the double-bill of Rory Block and Cindy Cashdollar on Sunday, February 6; the Slavic Soul Party on Friday, February 18; and Joy Kills Sorrow with Brown Bird on Saturday, April 30.
