MUSIC: Canadian Brass @ the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall, Troy. Nothing goes together more perfectly than horns and holidays, and the Canadian Brass has got ’em both rolled into one fun package. They’ve also got a new Christmas album – their third – to play for you, too.

NEW MEDIA: Reverse Vertigo @ West Hall, RPI, Troy. The Rensselaer Electronics Arts graduate studio show, with works ranging from “experimental game design to living installations to live broadcastsw of camp burlesque.” 4-7:30pm. FREE.

MUSIC: John McEuen @ Caffe Lena, Saratoga Springs. A founding member of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, McEuen is a multi-talented instrumentalist who can entertain on banjo, fiddle, guitar, mandolin, lap steel and piano. 7pm. $18 in advance; $20 at the door.

MUSIC: Par 6 @ Northern Lights, Clifton Park. 4pm. Electric City power pop-punksters Par 6 throw a CD release party for their new disc, “Don’t Worry About It…” With Pillowhead, Lauren Rossi and Listen to the Sky. 4pm. $8 in advance; $10 at the door.

MUSIC: “Mountain Snow and Mistletoe” @ The Egg, Albany. The husband-and-wife team of Christopher Shaw and Bridget Ball lead the Capital Region’s long-running holiday celebration of songs and stories and some zany antics from Kevin McKrell and Brian Melick, too. 2pm. $24.
