Another One Bites the Dust…

Given the current economic climate for the arts, we’re not really surprised when a performance venue shuts down. We’re actually more surprised that so many of them somehow manage to stay open…

But we are disappointed. Always disappointed…

The Boght Arts Center in Cohoes recently announced that it will be closing its doors at the end of the year.

After hosting an array of varied concert performances from classical to folk since opening in May of 2009, the arts center is calling it quits.

But there’s still one more concert on the calendar, and appropriately enough, it features the arts center’s director Scott B. Adams. Adams – who is also a composer and guitarist – will lead the Scott B. Adams AcousticEnsemble, which also features bassist Doug Robinson and violinist Eric Aceto.

The concert – featuring folk music and acoustic Christmas music – will be held at 7:30pm on Friday. Tix are $20.
