Flashback: The Birth of the Jukebox, 11/23/1889

Today marks the 121st anniversary of the first public jukebox. It was on Novemeber 23, 1889, at the Palais Royale Saloon in San Francisco that the first jukebox was installed. It was originally known as a “nickel-in-the-slot player.”
