Club Helsinki Hudson in Hudson is heating up the January concert calendar with a handful of newly booked shows. Folk-gospel-blues group Ollabelle – led by vocalists Amy Helm and Fiona McBain – will grace the stage at 9pm on Friday, January 14. The Wiyos return to host another installment of their “Gamville” variety show at 9pm on Saturday, January 22. And blues queen Shemekia Copeland cuts loose and wails at 9pm on Friday, January 28.

Rochester’s Ra Ra Riot rolls into Jillian’s in Albany at 9pm on Monday, December 6. Tix are $5.

Red Baraat – who wowed the crowd at Proctors last weekend in the opening installment of the three-part Party Horns NYC concert series – is headed into MASS MoCA in North Adams at 8pm on Saturday, January 29 for a Bhangra Funk Dance Party. Tix are $16 in advance; $20 at the door; students $10/kids FREE. Meanwhile, another band who played the capital Region last weekend, the Low Anthem (who opened for Emmylou Harris at The Egg last Sunday) amble into MASS MoCA at 8pm on Saturday, March 5. Tix are $12 in advance; $16 at the door; students $10. And most intriguing of all, Tragedy – the heavy metal tribute to the Bee Gees – cranks their amps up to 11 and blasts their way through “Nights on Broadway'” at MASS MoCA at 8pm on Saturday, March 26. Tix are $12 in advance; $16 at the door; students $10.

Clutch roars into Northern Lights in Clifton Park for your post-Christmas/pre-New Year’s Eve partying at 8pm on Tuesday, December 28. Joining them will be Kylesa and Righteous Fool. Priced at $22, advance tix will go on sale at 10am on Friday.

RE-SCHEDULED: 30 Seconds to Mars – who have twice postponed their scheduled concerts at Northern Lights – have finally announced a new make-up date. Jared Leto and his band will take the stage in Clifton Park at 8pm on Friday, February 4. Tix are $25. All tix from the band’s most recently postponed concert (Friday, November 5) will be honored for the new date. And let’s hope that the third time is the charm…

POSTPONED: The performance by Apocalyptica, which was originally slated to take place on Saturday, December 4 at Northern Lights in Clifton Park, has been postponed. The new date for the show is 8:30pm on Saturday, March 12. Tix for the December 4 show will be honored for the new date.

SOLD OUT: Both performances of Beatlemore Skidmania on Sunday (at 3 & 7pm) at Skidmore College’s Zankel Music Center in Saratoga Springs are sold out.

POSTPONED, Part II: The concert by the Felice Brothers – which was scheduled for Saturday, December 4 at MASS MoCA in North Adams – has been postponed. The new date for the show is Saturday, January 15. Ticket- holders for the original December 4 show can switch for the new date or obtain a refund.

OPENERS: Boiled down to their most intimate two-person line-up of Philip Price and Flora Reed, winterpills will open for Erin McKeown at The Linda in Albany at 8pm on Thursday, December 2, supporting their new release, “Tuxedo of Ashes.”

CH-CH-CH-CHANGES: Italian rockers MsWhite have dropped off the bill at Valentine’s Music Hall in Albany for the Sunday, December 12 show. Armor for the Broken, In the Eyes of Her and Declarations will still be performing, and If We Sleep and Lions!Tigers!Bears! have also been added to the bill. Showtime is 6:30pm. Tix are $8 in advance; $12 at the door.
