It’s a homecoming weekend for local electro-duo-made-good Phantogram. Guitarist Josh Carter and keyboardist Sarah Barthel head into Skidmore College’s Dance Gym in Saratoga Springs at 9pm on Saturday. Opening the show are Snakes Say Hisss!. Tix are $10.

Wu-Tang Clan kicks it at Northern Lights in Clifton Park at 9pm on Monday, December 27. Yes, all your fave Wu-Tangsters – Method Man, RZA, GZA, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Inspectah Deck, U-God, Masta Killa and Cappadonna – will be gangin’ up with Boy Jones (the son of the late Old Dirty Bastard). Priced at $40, tix are slated to go on sale at 10am Friday. And peering into 2011, Silverstein will be heating up NL on Friday, January 7. The show starts at 6:45pm and will also feature Miss May I, Pierce the Veil, the Chariot and A Bullet for Pretty Boy. Priced at $15 in advance, tix go on sale at 10am on Saturday.

Northern Lights is also hosting WEQX-FM’s 26th anniversary bash at 7pm on Saturday, November 13. Headlining the celebration will be electro-dance rockers Deluka in support of their brand new debut album, “You Are the Night.” Local bands rounding out the line-up include Phillips Head, Lunic, the Velmas, Ten Year Vamp and Travis Gray. Admission at the door is a suggested donation of $5, which will go directly to the Regional Foodbank of Northeastern New York and the Vermont Foodbank.

Mountain Man – the female acoustic trio from Bennington who wowed the crowd at this summer’s Solid State Festival at MASS MoCA – will be performing at the Sanctuary for Independent Media in Troy at 7pm on Friday, November 12. Also on the bill for the evening is author Sara Marcus, who will offer a conversation with Will Hermes about her new book, “Girls to the Front: The True Story of the Riot Grrrl Revolution.” $10 suggested donation at the door; students/low income $5.

Best known for her role as Claire Fisher on the acclaimed HBO funeral series “Six Feet Under,” Lauren Ambrose is also the lead vocalist with the Leisure Class, a band that combines elements of ragtime, swing and Gypsy jazz. Ambrose and the band will be sparkling up the holiday season at Club Helsinki Hudson in Hudson with a performance at 8pm on Wednesday, December 29.

Comedian/country singer Rodney Carrington brings his Laughter’s Good tour to the Glens Falls Civic Center at 7pm on Saturday, April 16. Tix are $39 and $44.

Update: Foxy Shazam has dropped off the bill at Valentine’s Music Hall in Albany at 8pm on Monday, November 22. However, the show will carry on with headliners Free Energy and openers Hollerado.
