The Arts Center of the Capital Region is seeking submissions for solo exhibitions, small and large group exhibitions, installation possibilities, arts-in-education opportunities and more. Visual artists in all media – painting, printmaking, sculpture, installation, video, photography, performance, and mixed media presentations – are invited to submit proposals for consideration. The Arts Center of the Capital Region is interested in giving emerging curators the opportunity to propose exhibits for future programming. Open Call for Artist in Residence Proposals: EMPAC is continuing its open call residency program and has also announced four additional focused initiatives:
- Audio Production / Post‐Production: For sound recording, development of multichannel sound works, documentation, mastering, mixing, film scoring, or any other task involving microphones, speakers, consoles and computers
- Creative Research: Provides artists, writers, and theorists with the opportunity to conduct research over extended periods of time (minimum six weeks)
- Dance / Theater: To rehearse, workshop or finalize a production. Provides a group of up to six individuals a two‐week rehearsal period in a 3,300 sq. ft. black box space with full production support
- Video Production / Post‐Production: For multiple camera shoots, documentation of a performance, development of multichannel video projection, digital video post‐production, or any project involving HD video cameras, computers, and projectors
Proposals are reviewed by EMPAC curators four times a year; upcoming reviews will take place on January 14, April 15, July 15 and October 15. In general, residencies are scheduled six months to one year in advance.

The Greene County Council on the Arts is accepting works for Salon 2010: Small Works Exhibition and Sale of Fine Art. All GCCA members are welcome to drop off up to three works under 20″ in any direction on Monday and Tuesdsay, November 22 & 23, 2010. This year, we are experimenting with unframed works for sale at $100 or under to encourage LOTS of sales! The exhibit will feature push pin installation, with works in all media. (No deadline)

The Limner Gallery in Hudson is seeking artists for the 19th Annual Emerging Artists group exhibition and awards. Open to all artists working in any media, this exhibition will be held at the Limner Gallery during April of 2011. A grand prize of $1000 in cash will be awarded to one artist. $2600 in publication awards will be presented to three artists. Winning artists will be exhibited at Limner Gallery and on the gallery website. Deadline: November 30
