POETRY/MUSIC/DANCE: Branches of Words @ Performing Arts Center UAlbany, Albany. Celebrating the Persian poetry of Hafez, the 14th century Sufi poet, a performance by a multi-national gathering of artists including Iranian theatre and film director Mahmood Karimi-Hakak, Jewish American composer Zoe B. Zak, Ghanaian musician Zorkie Nelson and the Ellen Sinopoli Dance Company. 7:30pm. $15 / $12 seniors & faculty-staff / $10 students.

MUSIC: Songs and Stories in the Fake Coffeehouse (Facebook) @ UAlbany Campus Center, Albany. Artist-in-residence Jed Davis pairs up with Jerry Marotta. Also performing are Michael Eck and David Schulman. 7pm. FREE.

ARTIST RECEPTION: Eye Music Portraits No. 3 @ Wesley Gallery, Wesley Health Care Center, Saratoga Springs. With images by world-class photographers Lawrence White, Joseph Deuel and Andrzej Pilarczyk, this exhibition encompasses performance portraits of national and international musicians from all genres of music including rock, jazz, folk, blues and country. (Exhibit continues through Monday, November 29) 3-7pm. FREE.
