11/2: This Day In History: Django Reinhardt Reinvents Jazz Guitar

82 years ago, in the early morning hours of November 2, 1928, 18-year old Django Reinhardt was horrifically burned in a fire that swept through his Gypsy wagon. He spent the next 18 months recuperating and had to relearn to play the guitar with only two fingers still functioning on his left hand. The signature style that he developed changed the face of jazz guitar forever.
