FilmColumbia Fest: Today’s Pick Flick

Columbia County’s own film festival, the FilmColumbia Fest, kicks off today at 4pm with the gritty urban drama, “Night Catches Us,” starring Anthony Mackie (“The Hurt Locker”) and Kerry Washington (“The Last King of Scotland”). Directed by Tanya Hamilton, the film is set in Philadelphia in the mid-1970s and focuses on the fallout from the annihilation of the Black Panther Party by the authorities.

“Night Catches Us” will be screened at the Crandell Theatre in Chatham.

FilmColumbia Fest continues daily through Sunday in Chatham with screenings at the Crandell Theatre, the Tracy Memorial Village Hall and the Morris Memorial.
