Flashback to 1985: Absolute Grey @ 288 Lark

Live from Albany’s vintage new wave haven 288 Lark, Rochester rockers Absolute Grey churn their way through the Dream Syndicate psychedelic-pop classic, “Tell Me When It’s Over,” back in 1985.

That’s right, a quarter of a century ago…

Absolute Grey featured vocalist Beth Brown, guitarist Matt Kitchen, bassist Mitch Rasor and drummer Pat Thomas.

Love that song… I would have gone nuts for any band cool enough to cover Dream Syndicate.

Pat also put out his debut solo record back in 1989 on Heyday, “It’s a Long, Long Way to Omaha, Nebraska”
Great title, great record. I wish I knew where my vinyl was.
