9/29/10: Today’s Tips: Wednesday

FILM: “LENNONNYC” @ the Bearsville Theater, Woodstock. Director Michael Epstein’s feature-length documentary about John Lennon’s years in NYC kicks off the 11th annual Woodstock Film Festival. The screening will be followed by a party in the lounge. 7:30pm. $25. (Also screening at the Rosendale Theater, Rosendale at 2pm on Friday. $5.)

FILM: Psycho @ Schenectady Public Library. Who doesn’t like a horror film nooner? The Alfred Hitchcock classic is showing at 12noon today and also tomorrow (Thursday, 9/30) at 7pm. FREE.

MUSIC: Will Kaufman’s “Woody Guthrie: Hard Times and Hard Travelin'” @ the Boght Arts Center, Cohoes. Troubadour Kaufman pays tribute to the great American singer-songwriter, and the message couldn’t be more timely. 7:30pm. $12.
