Last year, Moby was the headliner at Albany’s LarkFEST.

This year, he’s the competition.

Yes, while this year’s LarkFEST is winding down on Saturday, Moby will be taking the stage for an acoustic concert at the Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary in Willow.

Kelli Scar – Brooklyn indie folkster, award-winning film composer and Moby collaborator (she sang lead vocals on the title track of Moby’s 2009 album, “Wait for Me” – will open the show.

And following Moby’s performance, there will a special treat. Mercury Rev Clear Light Ensemble – which features members of Mercury Rev with Moby sitting in – will perform an original, live soundtrack to Albert Lamorisse’s beloved 1956 classic film, “The Red Balloon.”

Tix are $30 in advance; $40 at the gate; children under 12 are free. All proceeds benefit the Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary.

Gates open at 4:45pm on Saturday, and the show starts promptly at 5:30pm. Bring lawn chairs or a blanket. A flashlight is also recommended. Food and beverages will be available for purchase at the site.
