McGeary’s Pub in Albany re-opened on Friday with Tess Collins of (Tess’ Lark Tavern) onboard as the new manager and many of the Lark Tavern girls as the new staff.
During the past two weeks, McGeary’s (Facebook) has undergone extensive renovations and remodeling, and the pub was definitely hopping for the first day of business on Friday.
The freshly painted walls are adorned with original work by Albany artist G.G. Roberts. Collins hopes to exhibit work by a new local artist every two months.
There are, of course, a multitude of draft beers on tap, and the new food menu is chockful of old favorites from the Tess’ Lark Tavern menu, as well as several new selections.
McGeary’s is located at 4 Clinton Square – just across the street from the Palace Theatre – which makes it the perfect place to stop for a bite or a brew before tonight’s Jackson Browne concert.
