The Egg in Albany just keeps piling new shows on the concert calendar, and here are three more excellent additions:
Thursday, September 30, 8pm: Alejandro Escovedo ($28) – The Texas roots-rock master was named Musician of the Decade by No Depression magazine back in 1998, and he’s rocking harder than ever on his new album, “Street Songs of Love.” What more do you need to know? Be there.
Saturday, October 23, 7:30pm: Maura O’Connell and Paul Brady ($29.50) – We announced this one on Wednesday, but now it’s official. A fabulous double-bill of Celtic folk and more.
Thursday, February 10, 7:30pm: Jimmy Cobb’s “So What” Band ($34.50) – Legendary jazz drummer Cobb, the only surviving member from the classic Miles Davis album “Kind of Blue”, leads an all-star band featuring trumpeter Jeremy Pelt, saxmen Vincent Herring & Javon Jackson, bassist Buster Williams and pianist Larry Willis.
Tickets are currently on sale to members and will be available to the general public on Thursday, September 2.
