The Lark Street BID and WEXT-FM have announced the line-up of bands for next month’s LarkFEST. Nippertown’s biggest free street festival will take place from 10am-5:30pm on Saturday, September 25, and there will be plenty of arts, crafts and food vendors lining Lark Street from Madison Avenue to Washington Avenue.
But there will also be plenty of free music, too. This is the first year that LarkFEST has partnered with WEXT-FM, and the public rock station has stepped up to the plate in fine fashion with the line-up of musical talent that will fill the streets.
The national acts slated to perform include Boston R&B singer-guitarist Eli “Paperboy” Reed, Backyard Tire Fire, Chris Barron & the Time Bandits, the Jim Keller Band, Harper Blynn, Brendan James and KaiserCartel.
The local music scene will be well represented as well. Among the Nippertown bands strutting their stuff will be the Ill Funk Ensemble, Skadee, Rich Ortiz, Tom McWatters and Sirsy.
