Exene Cervenka Co-Directs “Bad Day”

Back in 1986, X chanteuse Exene Cervenka stepped behind the camera to co-direct the short film, “Bad Day,” with Modi Frank. It’s been in the vaults for nearly a quarter of a century, but now it’s finally seeing the light of day.

What is “Bad Day”? It’s a 20-minute, silent, black & white western to pays tribute to the early days of the one-reel westerns.

And check out the cast – John Doe (of X), Dave Alvin (of the Blasters), Chris D (of the Flesh Eaters), Oscar-winning writer Michael Blake and Academy Award-winning actor Kevin Costner as Luther Tucker, the town drunk.

“Bad Day” is now available for digital download on a pay-what-you-will basis, and a portion of the proceeds from the film are going to Gulf Coast aid organizations that help both the environment and the people affected by the recent environmental oil disaster.
