Festival Fever: Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival, 7/15-18

Last year, the Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival in Oak Hill was honored with the prestigious trophy as the Bluegrass Event of the Year at the International Bluegrass Music Association awards ceremony in Nashville.

Not too shabby for a bunch of Yankees camped out on the Walsh Farm in Greene County, just south of Albany. That’s right, Nippertown is now officially on the Bluegrass Map.

This year’s fest starts up on Thursday and runs through Sunday, and the line-up of bluegrass talent rivals any other fest in the world. There are five stages simultaneously presenting music on the festival grounds throughout the day, so there’s always two or three things worth seeing.
