Real Good For Free: Summer Concerts in Lake George

We know that it’s still April, but we’re already filling up our calendars with those free outdoor summer concert series that pop up all around Nippertown each year when the weather warms up.

One of our faves is the Wednesday night series sponsored by the Lake George Arts Project that takes over Shepard Park in Lake George each week during the months of July and August. Showtime is 7:30pm, and all performances are free.

They haven’t filled in all of the blanks on their schedule yet, but here’s what we know so far:

Wednesday, July 7: Bobby Dick & the Sundowners
Wednesday, July 14: Crooked Still
Wednesday, July 21: Red Molly
Wednesday, July 28: Big Medicine
Wednesday, August 4: Los Straitjackets
Wednesday, August 11: Robert Michaels

Performers for Wednesdays August 18 and 25 will be announced soon.
UPDATE: The remainder of the schedule has been announced:
Wednesday, August 18: The Tichy Boys with Commander Cody
Wednesday, August 25: The Lustre Kings
