4/19/10: Today’s Tips: Monday

MUSIC: Ramblin Jug Stompers @ Tess’ Lark Tavern, Albany. More funky acoustic jug band music, bluegrass, vintage country and blues. FILM: “The Guns of Navarone” @ the Palace Theatre, Albany. The 1961 World War II action-adventure film starring Gregory Peck, Anthony Quinn and David Niven with Oscar-winning special effects. 7pm. $5; kids $3.

MUSIC: Chris Carey @ One Caroline Street Bistro, Saratoga Springs. Fresh from the debut of his new band, Rodeo Barons at Red Square over the weekend, Railbird’s Carey is back doing his weekly Monday night solo gig. How does he do it all? 7pm. Free.
