“Yeah, it was the Rolling Stones’ ’12 x 5,’ which was their second album, I believe. I was a kid in seventh grade or eighth grade, so I didn’t have a lot of money, but that was a record that I just had to have.
That’s the music that I grew up with. I didn’t just listen to folk music. In fact, it was through the Stones that I discovered people like Howlin’ Wolf. And through the Beatles, I discovered Buddy Holly.”
Singer-songwriter Bill Morrissey teams up with Cliff Eberhardt for the ’90s Decade Concert at Caffe Lena in Saratoga Springs at 8pm on Friday, in honor of the legendary coffeehouse’s upcoming 50th anniversary. Tix are $25.
