CD Giveaway: Julia Brown’s “Strange Scars”

NYC singer-songwriter Julia Brown is headed into the Bread & Jam Cafe in Cohoes at 8pm on Friday, where she’ll be sharing the stage with one of Nippertown’s finest, Bryan Thomas.

We’ve got copies of Brown’s latest CD, “Strange Scars,” to give away to some lucky Nippertown readers. Simply send an email to juliabrown@nippertown.com. We’ll draw names at random and announce the winners on Friday afternoon. Good luck!

Check out the new music video for Brown’s song “Pieces of the Species,” directed by BriAnna Olson:

The Schenectady Gazette wrote, “In a perfect world, New York City’s Julia Brown would be a much, much bigger star than she is. Instead, she’s the best kept, and best, secret in the indie folk world, a hidden gem in a sea of same, falsely emotional singer-songwriters.”
