Theme To Nippertown: Now With More Nipper

The fine folks at Driving Rain Music have just released a video to accompany John Walker Black’s catchy little “Theme To Nippertown” that we unleashed on the world last week. Directed by Driving Rain head honcho TL Stone, this wistful and dreamlike love-letter-to-a-city is chock full of Albany landmarks and stars one of our very favorite dogs. And, in case you missed it, the song itself is available as a free download.

Now that is a sweet Nippertown theme song – love, love the Nipper dog… such a cool icon ;-) so cool it represents… Love the images our Nipper Town we all call our home! Rock On!

It’s a great song, and I like the fact that it has plaintive aspect to it – it makes it so much more memorable than the relentlessly cheerful official versions.

  3. Andy M. says:

I second Sara’s emotion. A helluva lot more thought went into this one than the “official” theme song.

  4. Jo says:

sooooooo much better than “lets have a party albany ” :)

  5. Jo says:

I happened to mention “let’s have a party albany” to one of the musicians who played on that, the way he reacted you’d think I brought up one of the most traumatic events of his life
