ArtBeat: Study Up

Late winter is woodshedding time. Here’s a roundup of art classes and workshops starting soon:

The Saratoga Arts Center has classes starting shortly in drawing, painting, pastels, photography, wood turning, weaving and more.

The PhotoCenter of the Capital District has February workshops covering a host of professional photographic techniques from shooting to framing to creating a portfolio.

At The Albany Art Room, classes are starting shortly in drawing, painting, bookbinding, silkscreening, ceramics, printingmaking and storyboarding.

Hudson River Valley Art Workshops in Greenville is offering weekend and week-long workshops in watercolors, oils, pastels, collage and fiberarts for all skills levels.

The Hudson Opera House is offering a portrait painting class with Yura Adams starting on Sunday as well as a life drawing workshop starting in February.

And, of course, there’s The Mothership: The Arts Center of the Capital Region in Troy has ongoing classes in just about everything arts related.
