Real Good for Free: Phil Drum @ Virgil’s House, 12/12/09

Phil Drum, singer, guitarist and head honcho of the Saratoga Acoustic Blues Society, is whipping up a special acoustic Christmas show at 3pm Saturday (December 12) at Virgil’s House, a great little coffeehouse at 86 Henry St. in Saratoga Springs. Actually, it’s more than just a coffeehouse, sporting a considerable menu of good food, as well as a beer and wine license.

“I’ll be playing lots of Christmas and winter songs,” Drum explains, “songs by everyone from Blind Lemon Jefferson to Frank Sinatra. So stop by for some music, good food and drink, and a break from the holiday shopping madness.”

Admission is free, but donations to the Saratoga Acoustic Blues Society will gratefully be accepted, and Drum promises to bring along a few SABS hats for sale, too – a great present for the blues fan on your holiday list.
