emackAndBolioLet’s see now…
It’s free.
There’s lots of great music.
It helps raise money for the American Cancer Society.
And there’s ice cream involved.

OK, count us in.

On Saturday (October 24) both Nippertown locations of Emack and Bolio’s (366 Delaware Ave., Albany and Town Center Plaza, 1704 Western Ave., Guilderland) are hosting “Ice Cream that Rocks,” an all-day benefit show for the American Cancer Society.

Nearly two dozen musical acts will be participating in the event, which begins at 12noon and continues straight through til at least 10pm.

“There is no admission cost, but there are plenty of ways for people to contribute to the cause,” explains organizer and performer Rob Jonas. “By buying food at Emack and Bolio’s, a portion of those sales goes to the American Cancer Society. People can also donate directly by placing money in tip jars located throughout both stores. And a portion of all CD sales during the day will go to the American Cancer Society.”
