It’s time for another Happening!

FLUX Music and Art Event takes over the historic Saint Joseph’s Church on Ten Broeck St. in Albany this weekend.

Dozens of visual artists and musicians are banding together for a marathon, anything-can-happen bash that transforms the old church into a contemporary art ‘n’ party venue.

Participants include a who’s-who of movers and shakers on the Nippertown art scene: Samson and Alex Contompasis, Daniel Chavez, Dwell & One Unit, Mat Kane, Chip Fasciana, Ethan Bach, Disposable Rocket Band, Oddy Gato, Courtney Blackwell, Existing Artists, Martin Dodge and many, many others.

FLUX takes place 4-11pm Friday, October 9; 7pm-12midnight Saturday, October 10; and 12noon-9pm Sunday, October 11. The event is open to the general public, and food and beverages will be available onsite. There is a suggested minimum donation of $5 per day to benefit the Historic Albany Foundation and the ongoing efforts to restore Saint Joseph’s Church.
