Openers at The Egg

OK, we all know that most concertgoers don’t pay much attention at all to the opening act. But, of course, if you’re reading, you’re obviously not like most concertgoers.

Anyway, here are some of the opening acts that have been announced for upcoming shows at The Egg in Albany.

Seattle-based former Band of Horses drummer Sera Cahoone opens for Son Volt on Friday, September 18 in support of her Sub Pop country-noir album, “Only as the Day Is Long.”

Colorado roots quintet Elephant Revival opens for Railroad Earth on Saturday, September 19.

Legendary banjo innovator Tony Trischka leads his trio opening for Peter Rowan & Tony Rice on Sunday, October 4.

Teenage guitar phenom Patrick Droney opens for Bernie Williams on Tuesday, October 6.

Heartland singer-songwriter Jason Wilber opens for John Prine on Saturday, October 7. November 7.
