Woodstock’s own Avalon Peacock – of the alt-country band Mechanical Bull – is still in the running on the CMT singing competition, “Can You Duet.”

Avalon and her singing partner Ryan Larkins made a rather bold choice this past week, opting to sing a rock song – Collective Soul’s “Shine” – but they nailed it and avoided elimination once again this week.

The show is down to the final five singles couples, and the next competition in the series airs at 8pm on Saturday, July 18.
