Boy, are our faces red.
As eagle-eyed reader Romulus Smyth astutely pointed out, we here at Nippertown.com were hoodwinked. As it turns out, the photograph of the Village People that we posted yesterday wasn’t really the Village People at all, but rather a band of wanna-be imposters.
We deeply regret the error, and we promise that it will never ever happen again.

The Village People will be playing at the Alive @ 5 concerts series in Albany’s Riverfront Park at 5pm on Thursday, July 2. Admission is free.

All kidding aside, I saw them a few years back when they opened for Cher at the Pepsi and they rocked, although I was a little chagrined to discover that I’m not coordinated enough to do the YMCA dance.
