Yes, you might not realize it, but the Albany Public Library is as good a place for rockin’ as it is for readin’.

Once again this summer, the APL will host a free monthly Garage Bands in the Garage concert series, presenting some of Nippertown’s finest homegrown talent.

The concerts take place in the garage/parking lot at the rear entrance to the libaray on Elk St. at 6pm on the third Friday of the next four months.

Here’s the roster:

June 19: Ben Karis-Nix, Sea of Trees, the Ashley Pond Band, the Mysteios

July 17: We Are Jeneric, Space Lounge

August 21: Tern Rounders, the Black Fuel

September 18: Red Haired Strangers, Rattling Baddlies
