Real Good for Free: River Street Festival

Takin it to the streets!

The day-long River Street Festival takes over the downtown Troy stretch of River Street beginning at 10am Saturday, June 20. And once again the folks at WEQX-FM have managed to bring the best music to the east side of the river.

I mean, the Tulip Fest gets Third Eye Blind, while the River St. Fest gets Cracker as headliners. No contest, Troy wins that battle of the bands hands down.

Then take a look at the rest of the line-up:
Mike Doughty
Rob Dickinson (of the Catherine Wheel)
The Alternate Routes

Quite a fine line-up to be sure, and they haven’t even announced the line-up of local bands yet. Mark this one on yer calendar now.

Apparently, Chris Barron of the Spin Doctors has been added to the fest as well. But I’m not sure if that’s a plus or minus…
