Real Good for Free: Canajoharie

Takin it to the streets, part 13?

Yes, yet another free outdoor music series, and this one – dubbed Music on Main Street – is out in Canajoharie. But it’s definitely worth the trip westward, especially for the July 21 performance by Jesse Lege and Bayou Brew.

Lege is a bona fide Cajun music legend – a traditional accordionist-guitarist-vocalist, who has carried the sound of Louisiana into the 21st century and all around the world.

The Music on Mainstreet concerts take place on the front lawn of the NBT Bank at the corner of Mohawk and Church streets in Canajoharie at 7pm Tuesdays.

Here’s the line-up:

July 7: Gandalf Murphy and the Slambovian Circus of Dreams

July 14: Big Medicine

July 21: Jesse Lege and Bayou Brew

July 28: The Fulton Chain Gang

August 4: Notorious

August 11: Dyer Switch
