Real Good for Free: Powers Park

Saturday in the park!

When summertime rolls around, those free weekly concert series start popping up in nearly every available little park and gazebo all around Nippertown.

(OK, not all of them. Sadly, we won’t be getting the Monday night concerts in Albany’s Washington Park this year.)

One of the first series out of the gate – at least with their announcement – is Powers Park in Troy, whose series takes place at 6:30pm Saturdays.

Here’s the rundown:
July 11: Blue Hand Luke
July 18: Little Elvis
July 25: Storm Front
August 1: Mike & the Monsters
August 8: Loose Cannon Live!
August 15: Al Bruno
August 22: Johnny Rabb & the Jailhouse Rockers

One new show has been tacked onto the end of the Powers Park schedule. The Secret, Solid Smoke and Wylder will team up for a triple-bill tribute to Motown on August 29.
