Be Here Now: Geoff Muldaur @ Caffe Lena

With a musical career that stretches back more than 45 years to his days as blues singer-washboard player extraordinaire in the Jim Kweskin Jug Band, the mighty, mighty Geoff Muldaur has made great music as a duo with his now-ex-wife Maria, as a member of Paul Butterfield’s Better Days and more recently as a fine solo act.

His music has run the gamut from folk to blues, jazz to country and back again. “As far as I’m concerned,” Muldaur says, “I just call it American music. It’s got a little funk to it, you know?”
