Here’s an update on the upcoming Nippertown concert calendar:

Sat. 5/30: No generation gap here. Justin Townes Earle has been added to the bill as the opening act for his dad Steve Earle at The Egg in Albany.

Sun. 6/21: The Stick Men – a new power trio featuring the King Crimson rhythm section of Tony Levin and Pat Mastelotto, along with fellow Chapman stick player Michael Bernier – blows into the Bearsville Theater in Woodstock.

Sat. 6/27: NYC noisemakers Blonde Redhead have been tacked onto the summer concert schedule at MASS MoCA in North Adams, Mass.

Sat. 7/4: Longtime Woodstock resident Maria Muldaur brings her Bluesiana Band along for a homecoming show at the Colony Cafe.

Sun. 7/12: Bang yer head! Staind, Chevelle, HaleStorm and Shinedown roar into the Saratoga Performing Arts Center.

Sun. 7/12: Sure to be one of the musical highlights of the summer, the undisputed king of juju music King Sunny Ade and his band the African Beats play a free concert at the Music Haven in Schenectady’s Central Park.

Wed. 7/22: He left the Rolling Stones are lived to tell about it. The Mick Taylor Band tears the roof off the Bearsville Theater in Woodstock.

Sat. 7/25: Celebrating his 30th anniversary in this biz of show, Louisiana squeezebox vet Buckwheat Zydeco lands at Bearsville Theater in Woodstock.

Sun. 8/2: The hard rock show of the summer? Yup. The Times Union Center continues its Walking With Dinosaurs theme with the arrival of the one and only AC/DC. Priced at $91.50, tix go on sale at 10am Saturday, May 16.
