I think the first album I bought was a jazz record by Kenny Rankin, ‘Silver Morning.’ Before that, it was hand-me-down eight-track tapes from my brothers, including the Woodstock soundtrack and James Taylor. Eight tracks, yeah, baby. Oh God, it was awful. Of course, I also had some Beatles singles that I played on my tiny record player when I was a kid.”
